No. Andy is highly selective with volunteers, and the show is built around dignity first, "HR approved" humour. Volunteers retain full control throughout. Andy 100% avoids any material that would embarrass anyone or damage workplace relationships. The show is suitable for all ages and respectful of all backgrounds. In fact, many CEOs end up volunteering by the end of the show and they tend to be the biggest fans afterwards.

 

What if my team is skeptical about hypnosis?

45-60 minutes typically. Long enough to fully land the comedy, short enough to fit cleanly into a conference dinner program or awards night without overrunning. Andy works with your event organisers to suit the runtime to your run sheet. Gala dinners, conferences, and awards nights each have a different ideal length.

 

What size audience does a comedy hypnotist need?

 

Comedy hypnosis works best with audiences of 60-80+, where there's a strong diverse pool of willing volunteers. Andy regularly performs for corporate audiences ranging from 500 up to 800+ at major gala dinners, conferences and awards nights across Australia. Smaller corporate events (25-50) are also fine, though they require slightly different audience dynamics.

 

Can the show happen during dinner?

No! The show needs your guests to be free to volunteer and participate, not eating. Comedy hypnosis works best in the after-dinner program slot, before dessert, or as the awards night closer entertainment. Andy will work with your event organisers to position the show in the optimal slot in your run sheet.

 

How far in advance should we book?

4-12 weeks lead time is typical. November and December (Christmas and EOY season) book out months ahead. For end of year functions, the earlier the better. For peak conference and awards season dates, 6-12 weeks ahead is recommended. For shorter notice (under 4 weeks), get in touch. Andy will confirm availability immediately.
